FFL Transfer Policy
At Alamo Auctioneers, we are committed to handling firearm transfers in a safe, legal, and professional manner. All transfers must comply with federal regulations and our internal company policies, which may exceed minimum ATF requirements.
Please review the following policies before initiating any transfer:
Age Requirement
We do not process firearm transfers for anyone under the age of 21, regardless of firearm type.
Pre-Authorization Required
All firearm transfers must be approved in advance. Customers are required to call us prior to sending a firearm to our location. Any firearm received without prior authorization may be denied or returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
Local Transfers Only
We only accept FFL transfers from customers located in San Antonio or the surrounding area. Out-of-area transfers will not be accepted or processed.
Background Check Requirement
No firearm will be released until we receive a “Proceed” status from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Transfers will not be released on a “Delayed” or “Denied” status.
Right to Refuse Service
Alamo Auctioneers and its employees reserve the right to deny any firearm transfer for any reason, regardless of NICS status or ATF compliance.
Company Policy
While we comply fully with all ATF regulations, Alamo Auctioneers reserves the right to enforce company-specific policies that may exceed federal minimums to ensure safety and responsible handling.
Transfer Fees
Pistol Transfers: $50
Rifle Transfers: $70
